The Horse-radish tree (Moringa oleifera) belongs to the family Moringaceae. It is a small deciduous tree that is distributed in northern India and Pakistan. This tree grows in dry areas and is about 3-10 m high. The crown is sparse, and the leaves are biternate to triternate compound. In tropical regions, it blooms year-round, but in cooler, seasonally warm climates, it typically blooms only once, from late spring to early summer. It produces fragrant white flowers in conical inflorescences. The spicy leaves, flowers and soft fruits are eaten in India and Southeast Asia. It is also called "Moringa".
