ユーコミス・フミリス [Index] [Back] 南アフリカのクワズール・ナタール州の固有種です。標高２２００〜２９００メートルの夏降雨地帯に生え、高さは４０センチほどになります。葉は披針形で竜骨があり、縁は波打ち、裏面に紫色の斑点があります。盛夏、１２月から２月ごろ、緑がかった白色で、時に薄紫色を帯び、紫色の雄しべのある花を咲かせます。  ユリ科ユーコミス属の多年草で、学名は Eucomis fumilis。英名は Dwarf pineapple flower。  The Dwarf pineapple flower (Eucomis fumilis) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a deciduous bulb that is endemic to KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. This herb grows in summer rainfall areas at altitudes 2,200-2,900 m, and up to a height of 40 cm. The leaves are lanceolate, keeled, purple tinted, wavy-edged, have purple spots below.
