南アフリカのトランスバール地方が原産です。潅木状で、高さは３０センチほどになります。青緑色の茎には４〜５稜があります。棘は鋭く、明るい銅色をしています。晩春に黄色い花を咲かせます。

トウダイグサ科トウダイグサ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Euphorbia aeruginosa。英名はありません。

|
The Euphorbia aeruginosa belongs to Euphorbiaceae (the Spurge family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to the Transvaal Province of South Africa. This herb is shrubby and can reach about 30 cm in height. The stems are bluish green and 4-5 angled. The spines are acute and bright copper. The yellow flowers come in late spring.
