マダガスカルが原産です。茎は木質で棘が密生して奔放に伸び、高さは１メートルほどになります。葉は細長くて、ストラップのようなかたちです。枝先に杯状花序をだして、中心が黄色の黄緑色の花を咲かせます。

トウダイグサ科トウダイグサ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Euphorbia rossii。英名はありません。

The Euphorbia rossii belongs to Euphorbiaceae (the Spurge family). It is an evergreen herb that is native to Madagascar. The stem is woody and has dense spines and grows freely, reaching a height of about 1 m. The leaves are elongated and shaped like straps. The cyathia are borne on the tips of the branches, and the yellow-green flowers with a yellow center bloom.
