ヤトロファ・インテゲリマ (南洋桜)

西インド諸島が原産です。高さは４．５メートルほどになり、葉は卵形から楕円形で全縁または浅く３裂します。ピンクから紅色の「さくら」に似た花を咲かせることから、「なんようざくら（南洋桜）」とも呼ばれます。花は長く伸びた花茎の先の集散花序につき、温度と日照が十分あれば、周年開花します。 |

トウダイグサ科ヤトロファ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Jatropha integerrima（syn. Jatropha panduraefolia）。英名は Peregrina。 |

The peregrina (Jatropha integerrima) belongs to Euphorbiaceae (the Spurge family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to the West Indies. This tree can reach about 4.5 m in height. The leaves are ovate to elliptic and entire or slightly trilobate. The pink to ponceau cherry-like flowers come in the terminal cymes, and they bloom year around if the temperature and sunshine keeps comfortable. |
