The Double Reeves' spirea (Spiraea cantoniensis var. plena) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a small deciduous tree that is native to China. It is said that they came to Japan during the Edo period. It is a variant of "Reeves' spirea". From April to May, the spherical inflorescences are full of double pure white florets.
