やえおおきばなかたばみ (八重大黄花酢漿草) [Index] [Back] 南アフリカのケープ地方が原産の「おおきばなかたばみ（大黄花酢漿草）」の八重咲き品種です。高さは１５〜３０センチになります。秋と春に、長い花茎を伸ばして散形花序をだし、鮮やかなレモン色の大きな花を咲かせます。花は八重咲きで、雄しべが変化した、花弁のような仮雄しべ（仮雄蘂）が幾重にもなっています。わが国では、２００７年に「オキザリス・ダブルイエローココア（心愛）」が品種登録されています。  カタバミ科カタバミ属の多年草で、学名は Oxalis pes-caprae f. pleniflora。英名は Bermuda buttercup double flower variant。  The Bermuda buttercup double flower variant (Oxalis pes-caprae f. pleniflora) belongs to Oxalidaceae (the Wood sorrel family). It is a perennial herb that is a double-flowered variety of the "Bermuda buttercup", native to the Cape region of South Africa. It grows to a height of 15 to 30 cm. In the fall and spring, it produces large, bright lemon-colored flowers in umbels that grow long and spread out on long flower stalks. The flowers are double-petaled, with multiple petal-like pseudostamens, which are modified stamens.
