やなぎはながさ (柳花笠)

南アメリカのブラジルからアルゼンチンに分布しています。今では世界の各地で、栽培されていたものが野生化しています。高さは９０〜１８０センチになり、直立した枝先で大きく分枝します。葉は「やなぎ」のような細い披針形で、ロゼット状に生え、茎葉は対生します。夏から秋にかけて、枝先の花序に淡い紫色の花を咲かせます。別名で「さんじゃく（三尺）バーベナ」とも呼ばれます。このほかに花冠が小さく、萼筒からわずかに花筒がでる程度の「だきばあれちはながさ（Verbena incompta）」も帰化しています。 |

クマツヅラ科クマツヅラ属の多年草で、学名は Verbena bonariensis。英名は Purpletop verbena。 |

The Purpletop verbena (Verbena bonariensis) belongs to Verbenaceae (the Vervena family). It is a perennial herb that is native to South America, from Brazil to Argentine. Now a days, it is naturalized worldwidely caused by escape from the gardens. This herb can reach 90-180 cm in height, and the stem is erect and much branches at the upper part. The leaves are willow-like, narrow-lanceolate and basal, the cauline leaves are opposite. The pale purple flowers come in the apical clusters from summer to fall. |
