わが国の固有種で、本州の八ヶ岳に分布しています。高山帯の湿った岩場に生え、高さは５〜２０センチになります。根生葉は腎円形で３深裂し、さらに２〜４中裂します。また茎葉は細裂します。７月から８月ごろ、茎の先に黄色い花を１個だけ咲かせます。

キンポウゲ科キンポウゲ属の多年草で、学名は Ranunculus yatsugatakensis。英名はありません。

"Yatsugatake-kinpouge" (Ranunculus yatsugatakensis) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to Japan and is distributed in Mt. Yatsugatake, Honshu. It grows on moist rocks in the alpine zone and can reach 5 to 20 cm in height. The basal leaves are round kidneys with 3 deep lobes and 2-4 middle splits. Also, the cauline leaves are shredded. From July to August, only one yellow flower blooms at the tip of the stem.
