やなぎにがな (柳苦菜) [Index] [Back] わが国の九州南部から琉球列島、台湾、フィリピン諸島、インドシナ半島、ジャワ島やニューギニア島に分布しています。渓流沿いの日当たりのよい湿った岩上に生え、高さは２〜３０センチになります。葉は披針形で羽状に浅裂し、根生します。４月から８月ごろ、花茎の先に頭花を散房状に咲かせます。花は小さく、１０個ほどの黄色い舌状花です。別名で「あつばにがな（厚葉苦菜）」とも呼ばれます。台湾華語では、「刀傷草」。 キク科ニガナ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Ixeris laevigata。英名はありません。 "Yanagi-nigana" (Ixeris laevigata) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native from southern Kyushu to the Ryukyu Islands in Japan, as well as Taiwan, the Philippines Archipelago, the Indo-china Peninsula, Java Island and New Guinea. This herb grows on sunny, wet rocks along streams, and it reach 20-30 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate, pinnately lobed and mostly in basal rosettes. The flower-heads bloom in corymbs-like clusters atop of flowering stalks from April to August. The flower-head is small and consists of yellow, about 10 ray florets.
