やなぎのぎく (柳野菊)

わが国の本州、高知県にだけ分布しています。西日本の蛇紋岩地帯に生える「やまじのぎく（山路野菊）」の変種です。茎は細く、紫色を帯びることがあり、高さ８０センチほどになります。葉は線形で互生します。１０月から１１月にかけて、淡い青紫色で、直径２．５〜３センチの頭花を咲かせます。総苞片は２列に並び、線形です。 |

キク科シオン属の多年草で、学名は Aster hispidus var. leptocladus。英名はありません。 |

"Yanagi-nogiku" (Aster hispidus var. leptocladus) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed only in Kochi prefecture, Honshu in Japan. It is a variety of "Yamaji-nogiku" that grows in the serpentinite area of western Japan. The stems are thin, may be purplish, and can reach up to 80 cm in height. The leaves are linear and alternate. From October to November, it is pale bluish purple and blooms flower heads 2.5 to 3 cm in diameter. The involucres are arranged in two rows and are linear. |
