キク科ヒヨドリバナ属の多年草で、学名は Eupatorium chinense var. sachalinense。英名はありません。
The "Yotsuba-hiyodori" (Eupatorium chinense var. sachalinense) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed eastward from Kinki district of Honshu to Hokkaido in Japan and Sakhalin. This herb grows in mountains and can reach about 1 m in height. The leaves are lenceolate and 3-5 whorled. The corymbs are borne on the upper axils and the white to pale magenta flowers bloom from July to September.
