ゆうげしょう (夕化粧)

アメリカの南西部から中央アメリカが原産です。現在では世界の暖・温帯地域に広がり、わが国でも本州の関東地方以西から四国に帰化しています。道ばたなどに生え、高さは１０〜６０センチになります。葉は楕円形から卵形で、下部の葉では羽状中裂することもあります。５月から９月ごろ、ピンク色から紅紫色の花を咲かせます。柱頭が４裂して平開するのが特徴です。別名で「あかばなゆうげしょう」とも呼ばれます。 |

アカバナ科マツヨイグサ属の多年草で、学名は Oenothera rosea。英名は Rose evening-primrose。 |

The Rose evening-primrose (Oenothera rosea) belongs to Onagraceae (the Evening primrose family). It is a peennial herb that is native from the southwestern United States to Central America. Nowadays, it is naturalized worldwidely in warm-temperate and temperate areas, and also westward Kanto-district of Honshu to Shikoku of Japan. This herb grows on roadsides and can reach 10-60 cm in height. The leaves are elliptic to ovate and occasionally divided into lobes at lower stems. The pink to magenta flowers come in May to September. It is defined by open four-divided stigmas. |
