ゆきわりそう (雪割草)

わが国の固有種で、本州の中部地方から関東地方北部、北海道それに四国・九州の一部に分布しています。山地から亜高山帯の岩場や草地などに生え、高さは１０〜１５センチになります。葉は倒卵状楕円形で、基部はしだいに細くなり、裏側に反ります。裏面は黄色を帯びます。５月から７月ごろ、花茎の先端に散形花序をだし、紅紫色からピンク色の花を咲かせます。 |

サクラソウ科サクラソウ属の多年草で、学名は Primula modesta。英名はありません。 |

"Yukiwari-so" (Primula modesta) belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic species of Japan, and distributed to Chubu district, northern Kanto district of Honshu, Hokkaido and the parts of Shikoku-Kyushu district. This herb grows in montane to sub-alpine screes and grassland, and it can reach 10-15 cm in height. The leaves are obovate-elliptic, taper gradually to bases, and reflexed abaxial side. Their reverse faces are tinged yellow. The cymes are borne atop of flowering stalks and bloom magenta to pink flowers from May to July. |
